In terms of pattern design & development, the way fabric is pleated, folded or ruffled can impact the aesthetic of a print. The manipulation alone can be done in a specific pattern - texture on texture, direction, color blocking, print blocking. Fabric manipulation is another way of textile design. Seeing a lot more volume in styling in general. Color can be anything & more of an accent to the manipulation rather than dictating it.
