We are not calling out one specific type of lace for SS20. This inspiration is more about the idea of lace - a weblike pattern that can create other patterns within itself. What’s interesting is how lace can signify a specific region of the world depending on the technique. There’s needle lace, cut lace, chantilly lace, knotted lace, embroidery, appliques - the list can go on and on. For SS20, we are seeing this delicate pattern work interpreted and applied to all different types of textiles and end uses. Not just for formal wear or a literal interpretation.
