This is not a literal translation of wood carvings. There are elements, techniques and folds that can create this natural and organic carved wood feeling. What’s so beautiful with this idea is the imperfections of the grains when looking at real wood and seeing the different ways we can manipulate fabric and lines to create the same effect. We are seeing organic elements and what occurs in nature more and more as inspiration for future developments. Simultaneously, there is a trend that goes deeper into technology and synthetic methods. With this happening, we’re seeing a greater desire to look at our surroundings as the supplement to balance visual aesthetics in apparel and home textiles.
