BLACK IS BLACK

There is noticeably more black showing up on the runways. Black has always been a mainstay and a power color. What’s starting to appear is black used in a slightly less edgy way. Less punk rock, less rebellious. More expressive. Black was once only seen as a color of mourning, absence or dominance. It is emerging as an all encompassing color of expression - in all fabrications and all silhouettes. Seen across the board from lightweight chiffons to heavy weight wool and structured leathers. It is the synthesis of color and application that is a new empowered fashion statement.
