ESSENTIAL SYNTHESIS

PATTERN CURATOR NOTES:

‘Essential Synthesis’ is the convergence of function, necessity and well-made. This macro trend is different that minimalist. While it seems that way at first glance, the trend isn’t focused on less is more. Rather, it is honing in on each object and item having a certain cause for being. Every detail is design thoughtfully and each part is placed for a reason. Color-wise, this macro trend is based in neutrals, specifically natural neutrals that can be vegetable dyed. The idea with this palette is that it layers upon seasons past and seasons to come. For print and pattern trends, there’s no trend - the patterns are timeless and unobtrusive. The low-key print and pattern is gear towards longevity rather that a singular season. Color, print and patterns are precisely secondary and succinct.
